Bioplex
Bioplex Anaerobic Digestion systems provide a practical and straightforward remedy for waste producers and handlers to remove one of the most significant and problematic components of residual waste – Organic Fraction.
The Bioplex system uses a patented anaerobic digestion (AD) process (The Bioplex Process) to rapidly digest organic material removing pathogens, controlling disease, removing odours and stabilising the waste before aerobic composting in the second stage of the process
It provides an early opportunity to remove problem organic waste from waste streams and because of its flexibility of sizes, and its ease of installation it is the system of choice for the reduction of Organic Fraction to landfill.
Bioplex systems recover value from putrescible organic waste producing biofertiliser and methane from the process to produce energy. The Government sees the potential of anaerobic digestion as an effective source of renewable energy that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the processing of organic materials such manures and slurries, food waste and sewage sludge, the UK Biomass Strategy 2007 identifies the key reasoning
| “Anaerobic Digestion has significant potential to contribute to our climate change and wider environmental objectives. It can help us to meet three of the UK.s needs at the same time by: 1. Producing more renewable energy in the form of biogas for biomass heat and/or power or for transport fuel; |
Bioplex design and deliver a range of options from “at source” systems to treat waste on site from as little as 1 tonne per week through to larger plants for commercial and municipal customers to treat 40,000 tonnes per annum and above, for gas production (energy from waste) Bioplex has a proven track record in systems using the patented process operating on continental Europe, these are available in the UK.
The Bioplex patented AD system is carbon neutral when the energy produced is used to power the process, waste is reused to grow plants by using the bio fertiliser which removes CO2 from the atmosphere, and if located at source substantial reductions in transport are made – the proximity principle.
Bioplex patented AD systems provide an efficient cost effective way for waste producers and handlers to remove one of the most significant and problematic components of residual waste and change the problem into a viable solution by producing compost and energy and at the same time reducing CO2.
The Bioplex system incorporating the proven patented Bioplex process is one of the most cost effective, reliable and efficient methods for meeting and exceeding current and planned government legislation and targets.
The Bioplex AD system does not require complicated and expensive pre treatments; it is robust and modular providing increasing capacity from 1 ton per week to over 1,000 tonnes per week and is capable of producing biogas and high dry matter biofertiliser.
